Grandparents Visit

Grammy and Pappy came for a visit last week. My dad's first time visiting us in Florida. The weather was perfect and we had a great time together.

Our first day together was spend on a little beach in Key Biscayne, Miami-

The second morning we did a little fishing by the pool. The boys were more concerned with the ducks-

Fishing stopped when Pappy got his hook stuck-

Swimming break. I love Titus' faces in these pictures as he watches Pappy "perform"-

Evening out to dinner on Fort Lauderdale Beach-

Of course their trip just happened to fall over Grandparent's Day at CCA. :) I almost cried when I saw the invite in Titus' folder and just knew he wouldn't have any grandparents there. Looks like God worked it out in the end. :)

Breakfast in the classroom-

Getting ready for the class performance-

Receiving some praise from Grammy-

Pictures in the backyard. I love Titus' excitement...and Quincy's quivering lip-

Fishing at the park-

"I'm organizing"-

Titus loved carrying the tackle box-

No fish-

And then our time together came to an end.

The night they left I was laying in bed with Titus. I asked him what was the best part of the day. He said riding in Grammy and Pappy's (rental) car. He said, "I love Grammy. I wish I could stay with her." And since they left he'll say, "What's your problem?!" Just like my dad. :)

I usually feel so good about our decision to move here. Until the end of a visit from family. It's heartbreaking. To have them leave. To see Titus miss them. To know they miss him...and Quincy...and hopefully, Steve and I too. :)

Two Boys and a Ton of Cars

The brothers are becoming friends. "Best brothers" Titus calls them. Quincy loves hugging now, especially Titus. I'll look over and see them in an embrace. Quincy wakes up and asks for Titus every morning. The days when Steve has already taken Titus to school, I carry Quincy down the stairs and he looks around calling, "Titus."

This view from above shows their personalities so perfectly. Titus has his cars lined up just the way he wants them. He started lining his cars up at such an early age. Before he was even a year old he would play with cars always putting them perfectly end to end. Whenever he plays cars he makes some sort of lines or rows with them. He'll ask Steve or I to play cars with him but then get so frustrated with us saying, "you're doing it wrong." He knows which ones he wants where, facing which direction. Quincy's cars are all over the place. Just like his personality. Wild and crazy and with no order at all-
