Our Little Boy
Titus' new trick is the pig snort. I tried my best to capture it with my camera... :) He is becoming quite the little character. It seems like he is changing so quickly right now. He is much more vocal these days and loves interacting with other kids. Today we were in Target and he started laughing at two boys in their mother's cart. We've been walking at the beach this week and he's been so interested in watching the birds and the tractor on the beach and even the street sweeper. He watches and smiles and then the drivers will wave at him. We also saw a fire truck today that he became very excited over. He is little boy through and through.

Early Morning
This morning Titus woke up an hour early. I was already exhausted after tossing and turning all night and going from our bed to the guest bed. Steve and Titus both have colds and I couldn't sleep with Steve sniffing and sneezing. I knew it would be a rough day unless we got out. So I decided to drive to the beach early. It was so wonderful. Titus and I were two of only a few people on the beach. We sat right by the water and Titus watched the tractor cleaning the sand. He is at the age now where he is easy to take to the beach. I just grab a blanket, some toys, and the camera...always take a camera! He doesn't last long but since we are such a short drive away we can just go for an hour or so. Whenever I go I always wonder why I don't do it more often. It really lifts my spirits to look out over the water and feel the sun.

What a Blessing
An hour after my last post about us needing a place to stay this summer...we found a place! Actually, Steve's mom found us a place. We are so amazed at how perfectly things have worked out. There is a family that is friends of the Mayo's who were looking for someone to house sit for them this summer and after hearing about our need, they offered us their house. It is a perfect situation for our needs. We will have the entire house to ourselves, it is close to the YMCA so I can take Steve to work and then have the car for the day, they have a yard for Titus to play in and a pool...so perfect! The only thing they are asking of us is that we mow their yard. Which had Steve laughing because they have a riding mower and he was used to mowing at our old house with a push mower. So that won't be much of a chore at all. We feel so blessed.

Summertime
Steve's first school year in Florida is coming to an end! He has just over a month of teaching left before he is done for the summer. We have decided that we will spend two months of the summer in PA. This will give us a chance to spend longer periods of time with our families and get together with friends that we've been unable to see during our quick holiday visits. Steve is going to be working at the YMCA in Coatesville running the teen camp. He did this last summer and enjoyed it. We are excited to go back "home" for July and August and celebrate Titus' 1st birthday with family and friends. Our only dilemma ...we don't have a place to stay. If anyone knows of a small house or apartment that would be available please e mail us at ... Themayos2@aol.com. We can always stay with family, but because we will be there for such a long period of time, we don't want to impose. And with Titus being so active and close to walking, I think it would be best to have some space of our own. Thanks for any help you can give us and we look forward to seeing more of you this summer!

Happy Easter
We just got back to Florida after celebrating Easter in PA. We decided last minute to go home for Steve's break. We had a nice time visiting with family and relaxing. It was nice to see signs of spring. Being in Florida we don't get to see the flowers coming up and the grass getting green. The first couple days of our trip were beautiful. Sunny and warm. Although we did see some April showers as well.

Private Pool
My sister gave me this little pool that her kids had used. I blew it up yesterday and put it on our balcony. Titus loved it! We have a real pool at our condo that Titus enjoys, but this was great because he could sit and play...and be naked. I was struggling to get his suit on so I just let him go nude. He is getting to the age where he can be hard to keep busy. He is getting tired of his jumperoo and is a menace in his walker. He likes to sit and play with his big bag of toys or scoot all over the house. The pool now gives him another option. Whenever he would get bored yesterday I would strip him down and we went out to the pool. It is so nice having it right off the living room. It also helped that it was 92 degrees yesterday. The heat and humidity are back!

Ride a Moose
Awhile ago I bought Titus this wooden riding moose. He is now big enough to sit on it. Since my brother died in Wyoming, Titus has many moose toys. I've been to WY three times and have never actually seen a moose there, but the stores are filled with moose items. Most of Titus' moose toys and his pair of moose pajamas are from Wyoming, however I found this at Ikea. Whenever I see something moose I think of Dustin and the state of WY.
