On the Phone

This is a picture I took this morning of Titus talking to his Mom-Mom. As soon as Steve would hold the phone up to him he would get a big smile...we miss you Mom-Mom!

And his 1st word is...

...MAMA!

On Wednesday evening Titus said his first word! Steve and Titus were playing on the floor and every time I would walk by Titus would fuss. He was babbling and making his mmm sound...then...mama! Steve and I both stopped and looked at each other. It was so clear that it sounded like it came from someone else. It was so great to hear his little voice for the first time.

Time Flies

I've always heard parents talk about how time flies and before you know it your baby is going to kindergarten...I feel like I can now relate. Titus was 8 months old on Sunday. I cannot believe how fast he is growing and how quickly time is passing by. I think back to where we were 8 months ago today...in the hospital, in PA, with our little dark-haired baby boy. We had no idea that we would be moving to Florida and all the joy that would come with having a son.

Visit from Family

My mom and my dad's sister, Sandy, just went home after spending a few days with us. Their visit was just what I needed. I laughed and laughed. They are both very laid back and just wanted to relax. So we spend our time on the beach and by the pool. The weather was perfect...80 degrees and sunny. Titus loved having more people to fuss over him and it did my heart good to see them with him. It has been so difficult for me to be away from my family, but I realize that visits like this wouldn't have happened if we were still in PA. My mom and Sandy have always been close and I grew up spending a lot of time with aunt Sandy. Over the past years though, we haven't see as much of each other. It was great to spend good, quality time together and to see the two of them giggling like little girls!
