Shutterfly

I just recently learned of this wonderful promotion from Shutterfly for bloggers. They are giving away 50 free holiday cards! I always get my Christmas card from Shutterfly and that is where I order all my prints from as well. I love their selection of Christmas cards. They have the most modern and fun cards at the best prices. My favorite are cards printed on cards stock rather than on photo paper as they look more elegant.

Here is where you can find their Christmas cards

I like to find my cards under the title of "Christmas" since so much these days is now "holiday."

So for all you bloggers head on over here and find out how to get your free cards! You can also purchase fun other stuff like mugs, wall art, calendars and more by clicking here.

Hopefully we'll have our family pictures done by thus weekend and then I can get my cards ordered. Not sure how easy it will be to get good family pictures with two kids, but we'll give it a try

Titus at 2 Years 4 Months

The other evening Titus asked Steve to cut his beard and put it on him (Titus). Just as serious as could be.

Titus still calls Quincy his "little cutie." I love it.

He says Quincy is "Just a baby. Baby brother Quincy."

Titus asked if I would take him to the beach to see the waves. How I do wish we could have a day at the beach today.

"Stop talking, I'm watching Jungle Junction." We're trying to teach him to wait and not interrupt while adults are talking and now he thinks he can tell us when not to talk.

He has a blue-tinted cup and when I gave him orange juice in it today he threw a fit and said he didn't want a green cup. The most ridiculous part about this is that he uses the same cup everyday and has been having orange juice in it for a while now. But for some reason, today he noticed that it looks green with the orange juice in it.

Titus woke up this morning and said, "It's almost Christmastime! Fonti (his elephant) loves Christmastime."

He then asked if he could have orange juice and tv...oh the bad habits that are coming with this winter. I try to always give him water except for when he has a cold and then I do orange juice. And with the cold weather I really hate to leave the house but then finding us watching way too much tv. Apparently Titus is loving the new "routine."

At breakfast he said, "Orange juice makes my belly button full."

He can count to 14 but leaves out number 4 every time.

He's starting to notice more going on around him (sights and sounds) and they occasionally make him scared. We keep reassuring him that he's safe and not to be scared. We tell him that Jesus will keep him safe. One day I locked us out of the house. I was frazzled and going from door to door trying to figure out how we were going to get in. Titus was following behind me saying, "Jesus will keep me safe, Jesus will keep me safe."

"Me not a little boy, me a big man."

When I was putting him to bed..."Mom, you go sit on the couch and watch something all by yourself."

The Boys and Their Toys

Looking back at pictures of Titus I realized that he started to use the Jumperoo at two months. So last week Titus and I brought it out and let Quincy give it a try. He likes to hang in it for a few minutes at a time and is also now noticing the toys around the edge. We'll see how active he gets in it, Titus would jump so hard the whole thing would shake.

Titus @ 2 months-

Quincy @ 2 months-

The only lizard Quincy will watching-

While Quincy was (literally) hanging out, Titus got every toy out of his toy box and laid in the middle of them all-

I just love this little smooshed up face-

Quincy at Two Months

...is as big as Titus was at four. Well, almost. He is now 14 pounds 8 ounces and 23.75 inches. He is wearing the clothes that fit Titus at four months.

...he started sleeping "through the night" last week, at two months exactly. First it was 6 hours then 7 hours then 8 hours. Last night we were back to 7. I am happy with any of those. The two or three hours at a time, or even an hour and a half, were draining me.

...is smiling and cooing a lot

...loves his mobile (sharing his crib while I vacuum his floor)-

...has taken quite a bit of roughing up by his big brother already. I'm sure there's a lot more to come.

...is quickly outgrowing his basket

...he's now sleeping mostly in his crib. When I think of how long it took me to put Titus in his crib I almost feel bad. Quincy was evicted from our room so early. :)

...hasn't yet been to the beach. I'm not sure why this bothers me so much, but it does. Titus was there at a month. I think of all the baby pictures of Titus on the beach and know Quincy will have none.

I've quickly learned what a pain it is to have a baby in the cold weather. Midnight feedings are made worse when I have to get out of a warm bed, my hands are cold at diaper changes, I have to dress him in layers, and he gets the cold wind whipping into his carseat when we have to go out. Those things alone make me miss Florida. I used to stick Titus in a onesie and he was set for the day. This winter will be interesting to be inside so much of the time. There really is a huge difference in our lifestyle here from what it was in Florida. It was never too cold to be outside and the hotter it was the more we wanted to be at the beach or the pool. Titus was so much more active there. Most days Steve would come home from work and take him to the park or we would all go to the beach. Almost every Saturday or Sunday morning were spent on the beach. It didn't get dark so early either. Never at 5:00 like it does now. We always had an hour more sunlight then here. It might be a long winter for us.

Sunday in the Sandbox

Although chilly, it was a beautiful day yesterday and Titus decided it would be best spent playing in the sand. A much different kind of playing in the sand than last year at this time.

I love our little spot in the backyard, under the sun-

And listening to the wind chime-

I love how the grass is getting worn down due to all his swinging-

Quincy and Fonti

Titus thought Quincy would like to chew on Fonti.

He didn't.
